START: (SU 24017 09323)

Enter the inclosure by the gate and follow the track.

Shortly you will reach a junction. Take the track to the left that goes downhill.

Follow this track round to the left and through a small gate which takes you out of the inclosure.

Turn right and cross the stream by the bridge (SU 24752 09892). Take the path going uphill through holly and beech trees.

Continue on this path out of the trees and follow the track as it runs parallel with Puckpitts Inclosure fence.

As you approach some woods, follow the path round to the left and walk on the outside of the woods.

Take a path on the left (SU 25760 10385) that goes through the heather and starts to go downhill. You will come to a sign, 'Murrays Passage', which points downhill.

Cross Long Brook by the bridge and continue uphill. You will pass a stone on the right which is in memory of Admiral Murray.

Eventually you will arrive at a pond (SU 25267 11039). Turn left on the wide grassy track that goes parallel to the main road.

Continue downhill and past some woods on the left.

When you reach a stream (SU 24572 10196), find your own way across - there is no bridge! Follow the obvious path which slowly heads uphill.

At the end of the inclosure when you are near the road (SU 23959 09569), turn left to walk parallel to the road to arrive back at the car park.

END (SU 24017 09323)
